The Japanese operator of the devastated Fukushima nuclear power facility plans to dump 11,500 tons of “weakly” radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean as a “safety measure”. Preparations are currently under way despite wide-spread criticism that officials have been less that forthcoming about the true severity of the disaster.
