Explosion Reported At Belarus Train Station

Officials report that 7 are dead and 35 are wounded in a subway blast  at the Oktyabrskaya train station about 6 p.m. local time.

There is no official word on the exact cause of the explosion. The location is within 100 yards of the government’s Palace of the Republic building and the residence of authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko.
