When planning the re-allocation of your personal savings in the event of an economic crisis, keep in mind that most banks, even small town institutions, have a preset limit on the amount of cash you are allowed to withdraw in a 24-hour period. Most banks require notice or even an appointment to be sure they have the cash on hand needed to fulfill your withdrawal request.
I can assure you that under no circumstances will this limit be negotiable should you decide to arrive at your bank unannounced to make a cash withdrawal in the amount greater than your bank’s predetermined daily limit.
Do you want to know well ahead of time what your bank’s daily cash withdrawal limit is? Call them.
This post is right on the money! (Pun intended.)
Plus, it unlikely that you’ll be the only person with the idea of getting money in a crisis, so the machines will run out quickly.
IMO, cash is another item that needs to be adequately stocked, just like other preparedness supplies.
